About The Company

OÜ Põlmer specializes in sheet metal works, including manufacturing additional details for heating appliances since 1993.

Established with Estonian private capital, the company has supplied its products to major construction material chains in Estonia and neighboring countries for over 20 years. In addition to the core production, customized orders and other sheet metal works such as fireplace covers, chimney caps, and window flashings for buildings are manufactured on-site.

Moreover, they produce water tanks, chimney caps, and other sheet metal products according to customer needs. They offer a wide range of sheet metal works, including standard products and customized sheet metal items based on customer preferences and drawings.

Since 2023, our significant partner has been Pulvar OÜ, home to Saaremaa’s largest powder coating line, enabling us to provide our customers with products in various colors and quick deliveries.

HISTORY

  • In 1993, Ants Kangur, along with two partners, established Põlmer OÜ.
  • Production started in 1993 at a rented space on Talve Street in Kuressaare. The workforce comprised 7 individuals.
  • From 1993 to 2011, Ants Kangur served as the company's manager.
  • In 2000, product exports to Latvia, Finland, Sweden, and Lithuania commenced.
  • In 2011, management of the company was taken over by Ants Kangur's grandson, Mihkel Kangur.
  • In 2012, the products obtained the IE-SN 04:201 certification.
  • 2014 - Recognized as an Estonian Gazelle Company.
  • 2015 - Recognized as an Estonian Gazelle Company.
  • 2016 - Recognized as an Estonian Gazelle Company.
  • In 2016, the Enterprise Estonia Foundation (EAS) granted development support of €19,180 for accelerating production processes.
  • In 2019, a new production facility was completed at Kalevi Street 26, offering over 520 m2 of space.
  • In 2022, collaboration began with Saaremaa's largest powder coating production, significantly accelerating delivery times and expanding color options.
